The customer is Volkswagen Slovakia, which was established in 1991 and today is one of the most important companies in Slovakia.
The customer approached us with a request to create a solution that will enable management of the content simple and automated way of presentations displayed on multifunction boards placed in production.
Originally, PowerPoint presentations were used for this purpose, which was hard to administrate and did not ensure uniform presentation on all whiteboards. The unification of appearance was one of the main requirements of the customer. The second most important requirement was to simplify work by automating some tasks.
The challenge we faced was to create a system that would:
– Simplify processes by automating tasks when creating content for presentations
– consolidate the appearance of all presentations.
Together with our customer, our analysts and architects examined the processes and identified all information system requirements in depth. After the analysis, they designed several solutions from which the customer chose also with regard to the future needs of the company.
We created a solution based on two applications – administration (Sharepoint app) and presentation (WPF).
The administration application enables simple and automated administration and control of the presentation content.
The presentation application, based on the settings in the administration application, displays an updated presentation on the multifunction panels in the production hall. This means that the presentation runs continuously on the information boards and is updated whenever the administration application changes.
Within the applications, user roles are defined.
Apps can be displayed in three languages.
For both applications, we designed UX and UI based on the original company environment, which facilitates the training of employees.
Simple and automated content management = increased employee efficiency when performing tasks, reduced employee error rate and optimizing the time needed to complete tasks.

Defining users’ roles. = controlling user rights and defining the necessary functionality in their work.
Device audit and presentations status = overview of current presentations on all devices.
UX, UI based on the original business environment = intuitive application control, fast staff training.
Ability to view presentations running on other devices on one device = employees don’t have to move to other devices – save time.
Once deployed, the solution provides the customer with simple and automated content management for presentations and their continuous display on multifunction devices.
